Nik Glisic

Head of Finance

Nik Glisic joins Hutch Underwriting as Head of Finance, with over 20 years of experience in financial services across the UK and Australia. He has spent the past decade in insurance, working with Lloyd’s syndicates, MGAs, mutuals and brokers. Nik’s background also includes time in fintech, supporting early-stage banking and payments businesses.

Nik is a Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and holds a Master of Commerce, along with project management qualifications (PMP and PRINCE2). During his career, he has built and led finance teams, introduced smarter systems, and contributed to strategy across a range of organisations. Nik is motivated by building better ways of working. Whether it’s a model, a system or a team, he looks for practical improvements that save time, reduce risk and support better decision-making.

Nik joined Hutch because it brings together what he values most: insurance, innovation and a driven team committed to doing things differently. He saw the opportunity to contribute to a growing business and build a finance function that supports both internal teams and broker relationships.

Nik understands that brokers want fast, accurate answers and smooth processes. He focuses on making finance frictionless, ensuring invoicing is clear, remittances are tracked, and queries are resolved quickly. All while supporting cross-functional improvements behind the scenes.

Nik is a collaborative leader who has worked closely with underwriting, claims, operations and tech. He believes good communication and a willingness to pitch in are essential in a scaling business.

Outside of work, Nik enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, going on bushwalks, visiting the beach and staying active. He also enjoys running, cooking and travel.
