It starts the way many broker stories do: a long-standing client with a short list of needs.
“Can you help me cover my team, my tools, and our leased workspace?”
You want to help, but that could mean seven separate policies, four underwriters, and one tradie with no time for paperwork.
That’s precisely the kind of scenario Trade Pack was built to solve.
Trade Pack is a straightforward insurance solution designed for brokers and their SME trade clients, up to $5M turnover. Brokers are rapidly recognising its value. Here’s why:
Instead of juggling liability, tools, cyber and plant under separate policies, brokers can now offer one clear solution. The highly anticipated launch of Hutch Trade Pack includes broadform Public & Products Liability up to $20M as standard, with six optional sections tailored to real-world risks.
If quoting trade client takes longer than their lunch break, something’s wrong. Trade Pack is fully transactable via Ebix Sunrise Exchange (Product Code: HUTTP). That means no double keying, no closings. Even your invoices are automatically populated. It's just simple quoting and binding with Hutch's renowned levels of automation and service.
Optional covers include everything from new-for-old tools to Tax Audit and Cyber Crime. You can tailor cover to each client without overcomplicating the placement.
This isn’t an off-the-shelf solution. It was built around broker feedback, like the addition of Glass cover for Leased Premises, and structured to simplify placement without sacrificing flexibility.
Every Trade Pack starts here. Its broadform cover with limits up to $20M. Supplementary benefits include ;defence costs, first aid expenses, and cover for the temporary protection of property.
We know tool theft is a frequent headache. That’s why tools and mobile plant less than two years old are covered new-for-old. Cover can also extend to Tools, Office Equipment, Stock, and Leased Premises Fixtures and Fittings, and Glass.
For when general tools just don’t cut it. This section is designed for larger equipment up to $100,000 per item, and up to $250,000 in total. It includes cover for accidental damage, hired-in equipment, road liability and finance protection.
Even tradies are exposed to scams. This optional section includes our standard cover for payment redirection fraud and the legal costs from a data breach.
If a client’s business gets audited this optional section provides additional support, up to $100,000 in audit costs.
If the nominated Covered Person is injured, this optional section provides a Prime Benefit of up to $150,000 and Weekly Benefits up to $1,500, for up to 104 weeks.
Added by broker request, this option under General Property works like a windscreen cover, but for panes of glass in a leased workshop or office.
Register your interest to receive all the policy documents as soon as we launch.
