Head of Claims

Sharon Botoulas, with over 20 years of experience in general insurance claims, serves as the Head of Claims at Hutch. She has a distinguished track record of leading teams in the Property and Energy claims sectors and expertise in Strata, SME, Auto, Casualty, and Financial Lines. Sharon’s leadership is instrumental in enhancing our claims processing through innovative technology and automation.

Sharon holds an associateship in short-term insurance from the University of South Africa. At Hutch, she harnesses technology to improve service delivery and simplify client interactions.

While Sharon’s experience encompasses a wide range of insurance products, she strongly emphasises effective communication with brokers to deliver a superior claims experience. She firmly believes in teamwork and the synergy it creates, thriving in environments that foster collaborative success.

Sharon is devoted to her young family outside the office and maintains an active lifestyle, including running and weight training. Her daily motivation comes from her passion for resolving client issues, making her role at Hutch a professional mission and a personal satisfaction.
