Ross's journey in the insurance world began in his home town (Adelaide), where he participated in a graduate program. During this time, he gained exposure to various facets of insurance and a wide range of policy types, laying the foundation for his career. The diversity of experiences in this role ignited his interest in the industry.
In 2014, Ross transitioned from insurance broking and claims analysis to the underwriting agency side. He has since worked with multiple well-known underwriters. His double degree in Economics and Finance heavily influenced his interest in financial lines. Ross particularly relishes the complexity of professional indemnity insurance. He appreciates the uniqueness of underwriting each risk and is driven by the ever-evolving landscape of this field. Ross is always eager to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Collaborating with a talented and motivated team attracted Ross to Hutch Underwriting. He is excited about harnessing technology to its fullest potential to provide top-notch service and products for our brokers.
With over a decade of experience in professional indemnity insurance, Ross brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. He is enthusiastic about improving broker understanding of PI insurance and enhancing their confidence in the product. Ross plans to achieve this through educational writing pieces and training sessions.
What drives Ross is his commitment to enhancing the quality of insurance products and the understanding of coverage. He purposely surrounds himself with high achievers who inspire him to advance his knowledge continuously.
