Helena brings over three years of experience across the legal and insurance sectors, with a strong focus on dispute resolution and customer advocacy. Her background includes managing complex complaints at a large global insurance firm, working closely with AFCA, analysing dispute trends, driving resolutions and significantly improving customer outcomes. She began her career as a Paralegal, which provided her with a solid foundation in legal research, compliance, and client engagement.

Helena’s initial experience in the legal field began working at a boutique law firm, and she has since deepened her expertise through ongoing professional development in insurance regulations, internal dispute resolution (IDR), and external dispute resolution (EDR) processes. What drives her is simple: making a difference for people during some of their most frustrating moments and refining the systems that support them.

Helena chose to join Hutch primarily because of our reputation in strata and construction insurance and the company’s commitment to fair, timely outcomes and continuous improvement. She sees her role as not only resolving issues but also identifying opportunities to improve systems and support better outcomes for brokers and customers.

Helena is renowned for her clear communication and proactive approach. She prioritises collaboration, whether it’s with legal teams, assessors, or brokers, to navigate complex claims and keep stakeholders informed. Outside of work, she enjoys reading legal thrillers, going for long walks, and spending quality time with loved ones.
