Dusan’s journey to insurance wasn’t linear but it’s what makes him such a well-rounded asset to the Hutch team. Originally studying sport science, Dusan’s curiosity and love of adventure led him overseas, where he began working aboard cruise ships. He quickly moved from housekeeping into entertainment, becoming a production assistant for music and shows, and gaining invaluable experience in teamwork, customer service and leadership across diverse global environments.

After meeting his now-wife and relocating to Australia in 2018, Dusan transitioned into tourism, working as a cruise specialist for luxury lines Oceania and Regent Seven Seas. When COVID-19 brought the cruise industry to a halt, he brought his problem-solving skills and empathy to the insurance sector.

Since 2021, Dusan has worked across home, landlords, commercial, and strata claims; first with IAG, then at Hollard. He handled everything from total loss and complex claims to vulnerable customer support. Now at Hutch, Dusan brings this versatility and a genuine passion for resolving claims to our expanding product suite.

Dusan thrives on collaboration with brokers, teammates, and clients. He believes that great service is about clear communication, timely support, and working together to get the best outcome. Outside the office, you’ll find him exploring the outdoors with his kids, lifting weights in his self-built home gym, cycling along Parramatta River or diving into a psychological thriller (or the occasional PS5 session).

Dusan’s drive stems from the dynamic nature of insurance and the opportunity to make a real difference when customers need it most.
